With Christmas right around the corner and a new year almost upon us, we at The Chiozza Law Firm would like to give thanks to all of our past, present and soon-to-be clients for placing trust in our local law firm to handle all of their legal needs. It is with great pride and humble appreciation that we accept the important task of helping those in need.
We truly cherish all that the city of Memphis and the Mid-South have to offer and the abundance of unbelievable people that give their time and effort to make Memphis an even greater place. While no reminder is needed, there are many people that still need help in Memphis. Fortunately, there are a growing number of charities and service providers that are willing to offer help to those in need. While many more exist than are on this list, some of the places that can always use a financial donation or helping hand include the following:
This world-class hospital is the crown jewel of Memphis, offering no-cost treatment to each family of a child suffering from cancer. The cost to operate this hospital on a daily basis is staggering, but the work done there truly changes the world each and every day. Not many places can say they are literally saving our future, but the doctors and staff at St. Jude are doing so with a smile and caring hand. You can learn more about this wonderful Memphis hospital on its Facebook page or Twitter account.
The Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County
It’s not just the people of Memphis that need a helping hand. The workers at The Humane Society offer care for the forgotten and abused animals of the Mid-South. Whether you can provide a loving home through the adopt-a-pet program or give financially, helping The Humane Society can benefit everyone. You can check out The Memphis Humane Society on Facebook and on Twitter.
Founded in 1968, MIFA is a wonderful organization providing services to the senior citizens of Memphis and families in need of emergency help. See how MIFA impacts the community by visiting its Facebook page or Twitter account.
As referenced on their site, Just City, “Our mission is to advance policies and programs within Shelby County and the State of Tennessee that strengthen the right to counsel and mitigate the damage caused to families and neighborhoods as a result of contact with the criminal justice system. “Just City also helps obtain expungements of criminal records to qualified individuals, thus giving that person a second chance in the workforce. You may learn more about Just City on Facebook or Twitter.
Boys and Girls Club of Greater Memphis is an organization of volunteers that help to provide a safe place to learn and grow for “at-risk” children in one of their six area locations. Founded in 1962, their volunteers currently provide services to over 4,000 local children. Follow them on Facebook and on Twitter.
I know many great organizations are not listed, but please remind us by responding to this post below, on Facebook or our Twitter account. If you can take the time to volunteer in any way, Volunteer Memphis has a comprehensive list of organizations that could use a helping hand. Also, don’t forget to support, or just say thank you, to the great workers of Memphis Firefighters Association and Memphis Police Department, who tend to be busier than usual this time of year.
With 2016 almost behind us, The Chiozza Law Firm would like to wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and safe New Year’s.
The Chiozza Law Firm has been a part of the Memphis and Shelby County Community for many years. We only have offices in Downtown Memphis, choosing to help Shelby County residents rather than branching out to all other states. We believe that the attorney you see, meet and speak with should be the attorney you can form a relationship with long after your case is over, an attorney you can count on for all of your legal needs and trust like a part of your family.
