Additional Reset Dates for Shelby County Courts Through May 15, 2020

Once again, the Shelby County Courts are postponing pending court proceedings. If you have a case set in General Sessions Criminal Court or Criminal Court through May 15, then that matter has been rescheduled. The only proceedings that will be conducted involve new arrests related to arraignments and bond hearings. All other matters previously scheduled thru June 15, 2020 have been reset to the below listed date:

Court Date: Reset Date:
 May 1, 2020  June 1, 2020
 May 4, 2020  June 2, 2020
 May 5, 2020  June 3, 2020
 May 6, 2020  June 4, 2020
 May 7, 2020  June 5, 2020
 May 8, 2020  June 8, 2020
 May 11, 2020  June 9, 2020
 May 12, 2020  June 10, 2020
 May 13, 2020  June 11, 2020
 May 14, 2020  June 12, 2020
 May 15, 2020  June 15, 2020

As we noted in a previous post regarding reset court dates, the same rules still apply. The above dates are for cases pending in General Sessions Criminal Court Divisions 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 25. They are also applicable to Criminal Court Division I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, IX, and X. When court does eventually reconvene at 201 Poplar, Memphis, TN 38103, we anticipate all proceedings will begin at 9:00 a.m. The above-referenced dates do not apply to legal matters pending in the Memphis Civil Court. These matters will be reset to dates assigned by the individual Judge presiding over your case. We strongly advise that you contact the Civil Court clerk’s office or your attorney for a reset schedule on your particular matter.

If you need additional information you may contact the General Sessions Criminal Court Clerk’s Office at (901)222-3500 or the Criminal Court Clerk’s Office at (901)222-3200.
