Do You Have Rights If You Were Not Seriously Injured in An Accident?

As we noted in an earlier blog post here, traffic accidents are on the rise this time of year. A combination of shortened daylight, increased construction areas, and more people on the road during the upcoming holiday season contribute to an increase in accidents. While The Chiozza Law Firm has represented hundreds of clients in catastrophic injury claims, we also know that many people need assistance for minor auto accidents.

A client who sustained minor injuries and required minimal medical treatment has the same rights and legal options as those who were seriously injured in an accident. While it may not be on the same level as a catastrophic accident, minor collisions can still cause financial hardship and short term monetary issues to the non-fault party.

What insurance companies don’t want you to know is that you still have the right to be compensated for inconvenience and time an accident causes you. After all, not many people have the time or ability to take off work or ignore family obligations to deal with a rental car or medical treatment. It is these and other damages you are entitled to if you were involved in an auto accident due to the negligence of another party. Damages you are entitled to, no matter the type or seriousness of the accident, include the following:

  • Pain and suffering
  • Lost wages
  • Property damage and diminution in value of your automobile
  • Medical treatment to include past, present and future expenses
  • Loss of consortium which involves your inability to contribute to household and spousal responsibilities

All auto accidents cause financial hardship. All parties involved will lose monetarily in one way or another. If you were not at fault in the auto accident, you deserve just compensation. You deserve expert representation and a knowledgeable legal team behind your case each step of the way.

We have an extensive history in securing fair judgements and settlements on behalf of our clients. We believe in treating every client, no matter how serious the matter may seem, with the utmost respect, as we would a member of our own family.

The Chiozza Law Firm is a family run law firm, consisting of a father and his three sons working together to bring you the best legal experience possible.
