How Much Does It Cost to File a Lawsuit?

Unfortunately, some claims cannot be settled out of court, and they must be litigated. This can happen for several reasons, and it can be expensive and time consuming. Filing a lawsuit is not a free service provided by the court system and local Memphis government. The filing fees alone can be hundreds of dollars in addition to the work hours and expenses involved in properly preparing and litigating a legal matter. The expenses related to many legal claims, especially medical malpractice matters, can be overwhelming to a client.

For clients of The Chiozza Law Firm you will not be responsible for paying and filing fees. We never ask our clients for up front money related to filing fees or expenses. In fact, we only recover our fees and expenses if we are successful in securing a settlement on your behalf. If we are unsuccessful, then you owe us nothing.  We have adopted a reasonable fee policy wherein our clients are charged a reasonable fee for quality legal service. We believe that our fees and payment arrangements give the client the money they rightfully deserve, not the attorney or insurance company.

While litigation and the legal process can be expensive, frustrating, and time consuming, a lawsuit gives you and your attorneys a voice to be heard and a way to fight back at the insurance companies. Unfortunately, the filing of a lawsuit is sometimes the only tool you have that lets an insurance company know that you will not be forced or tricked into giving up your rights in a claim. We don’t want a client to worry about additional financial hardships like filing fees and legal expenses during a pending legal matter, which is why we cover everything from beginning to end.

The Chiozza Law Firm has been blessed to represent thousands of clients through the years in their fight against insurance companies. Whether it is in the courtroom or settled prior to litigation, we want to be your voice each step of the way. We will not allow your legal rights to be cast aside, and if a lawsuit is necessary then will make sure it is not a financial burden to our clients during the process.

If you have been involved in an auto accident, we recommend that you consult with multiple attorneys before making a decision. Make sure you have it in writing from your attorney that you will not be responsible for any filing fees or expenses unless he/she is successful in obtaining an outcome that is favorable to you.

When interviewing attorneys for your auto accident, personal injury, or medical malpractice claim make sure you also contact an attorney at The Chiozza Law Firm. We strongly believe that after you meet with one of our local Memphis attorneys for a free consultation, you will choose our firm to assist you in all of your legal needs. Call 901-526-9494 for immediate assistance, or email Brian Chiozza to schedule a consultation.

Please note the our offices will be closed in observance of Good Friday this week so that our staff and attorneys can spend some extra time with their families and loved ones. We will reopen at 8:00 a.m. the following Monday. We would like to wish everyone a safe and blessed Easter.
