No question – thousands of unexpected pregnancies occur across the country every year. Many partners avoid these surprises with the help of birth control pills. However, even when a woman is taking all precautions, including birth control pills, and she can still get pregnant due to product failure or mispackaging.
CBS reports that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a nationwide recall of Mibelas 24 Fe birth control tablets.
Lupin Pharmaceuticals, the manufacturer of Mibelas 24 Fe tablets, claims the pills were packaged improperly. It appears that the first four tablets in the package, labeled as active, are placebo tablets, which could result in unintended pregnancy.
Fortunately, there are no adverse effects being reported from this issue. If you have been taking Mibelas 24 Fe tablets, you should contact your physician and pharmacy for further instructions.
If you believe you or a loved one have been affected or harmed by a poorly manufactured, designed or packaged product, you should seek legal representation.
