Speed Traps Set Across the South July 17-23

Speeding TicketIf you find yourself traveling across Tennessee, Florida, Georgia or South Carolina July 17-23, you should be prepared to slow down. According to the Knoxville News Sentinel, enforcement will severely crack down on speeders traveling through the southern United States this week in a joint task among local police and highway patrols to strictly enforce speed limits.

The increase in tickets, in theory, will contribute to a reduction in auto accidents during the busy summer months and more importantly, a decrease in traffic related fatalities. As noted in this Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security statistical report, there have been over 500 traffic-related deaths in Tennessee in 2017.

As we previously wrote, traffic tickets are a severe inconvenience at times, but hiring the right attorney for a traffic ticket typically saves you time, is convenient, assists with insurance rates, and helps your chances of acquiring driving points.
