What to Expect When Hiring a Lawyer

Whether you need the services of an attorney for an injury case, landlord/tenant matter, criminal proceeding, or anything in between, hiring the right lawyer is a very important first step. We believe that hiring the right firm/lawyer can make all the difference in your physical, mental, and financial well-being.  After all, hiring the wrong lawyer can cause frustration, anguish and unnecessary expenses.

In our experience, we understand the difficulty clients have in finding the right lawyer for their matter. Sometimes, they simply hire the first attorney they speak to.

We believe clients should interview multiple attorneys before deciding on his/her representation, and expect certain things from their attorney:

Free Consultation

When scheduling an appointment for the first time, most attorneys offer free consultations to learn about you and your case, allowing the prospective client a chance to learn about the attorney. As stated above, The Chiozza Law Firm believes you should interview multiple attorneys for your legal matters.

We also strongly believe that if you interview with one of our Memphis attorneys, you will like what you hear, and more importantly, have the comfort in knowing your matter is in the right hands.

Reasonable Fee Arrangement

All the time, attorneys disservice clients by charging too much for lawyer services. When interviewing a lawyer, don’t be afraid to ask the attorney about their fee. After all you, as the client, are the one who is suffering.

For instance, in most automobile accident cases The Chiozza Law Firm puts in writing a 25 percent cap on our attorney fee because we believe the client deserves the majority of personal injury proceeds, as they are truly the suffering party.

As for criminal defense matters, we understand people make mistakes, and it can be expensive hiring for the proper defense attorney to protect your rights. Our criminal defense attorneys quote you a reasonable fee with payment plans so that you can still afford other expenses in your life while your matter is proceeding.

Direct Communication

We believe the ability to directly contact your attorney at your convenience is one of the most important aspects of the attorney/client relationship. You should be able to directly speak with your attorney whenever you have a question or concern.

At The Chiozza Law Firm, you meet with an actual attorney for your consultation and are provided with his cell phone number and email address so that you can have direct communication for case updates and progress.
